Goblet-shaped, fragrant, purplish-pink flowers, usually white at the bases, appearing in autumn before the semi-erect, strap-shaped to linear-lance shaped leaves appear.
Deep fertile soil, well drained but not too dry. Full sun. Plant corms about 10cm deep in summer or early autumn.
From seed or corms.
Native of the western Mediterranean area from Italy to Turkey.
