Vigorous perennial growing from a corm to produce between one and three goblet-shaped flowers in autumn, before the lance-shaped leaves appear. Flowers are variable from pale pink to deep pinkish-purple, often with white throats, and yellow anthers.
Deep fertile soil, well drained but not too dry. Full sun. Plant corms about 10cm deep in summer or early autumn.
