Pinkish-violet flowers with slight tessellation and white veining, appearing in early autumn. Narrowly ovate, semi-erect leaves follow later.
Deep fertile soil, well drained but not too dry. Full sun. Plant corms about 10cm deep in summer or early autumn.
By separation of corms.
Native to the area around Naples, Italy, introduced to cultivation in 1858.
