Variegated foliage of green edged with golden yellow, on erect deep burgundy maroon stems. Creamy white flowerheads in spring. Vigorous grower.
Best in moist, reasonably fertile soil and a sunny position, but quite adaptable.
Prune in late winter, either removing about a third of the oldest stems or cutting back all stems every 3 or 4 years.
Good all-year interest with coloured stems in winter and variegated foliage in summer.
Selected at Hedgerows Nursery, McMinneville, Oregon.
