description:
Freely branching succulent with a shrub-like habit. Thick fleshy stems and fleshy, elliptic, glossy green leaves often edged with red. Very small star-shaped white or pale pink flowers in spring or autumn, but rarely produced by container grown plants.

Sharply drained, gritty soil in full sun. Will tolerate a little shade. In temperate areas container grown plants remain modestly sized and are rarely seen in flower.
