description:
Small densely bushy, slow growing dwarf with no clear leading shoot. Narrow pointed lance-shaped, glossy deep green leaves, up to 5cm long. Foliage becomes attractively bronze tinted in winter. Small insignificant flowers in spring and later small ovoid female cones to about 2.5cm long.

cultivation:
Best in moist conditions, otherwise old foliage tends to turn brown and persist on the branches. Full sun or dappled shade, in a sheltered position with protection from cold, drying winds.

propagation:
Hardwood cuttings in summer.

Suitable for small gardens and dwarf conifer beds.
