Tuberous perennial with dark green leaves often attractively marbled silver and grey-green and purplish underneath. In autumn established tubers produce rose pink flowers with maroon marks at the mouths, followed by the clusters of overlapping leaves.
Well drained, humus-rich soil in part shade. Tubers should be kept fairly dry during the summer dormant period.
Plant tubers about 3 to 5cm deep.
The easiest cyclamen to naturalise under trees.
