Dwarf evergreen of compact dome-shaped habit. Small glossy dark green leaves. Very fragrant pinkish purple flowers in mid spring, slightly larger than other similar cultivars.

Reasonably fertile, humus rich, moist soil, which is neither very acid nor alkaline, in full sun or part shade. Resents root disturbance once established.
