Small perennial with rosettes of wrinkled lance-shaped dark greyish green leaves, woolly grey-white underneath. Short stems bear sparse racemes of purplish pink or white flowers with dark spots inside, produced in early summer.
Well drained, humus-rich, preferably alkaline soil in sun or part shade and a warm location. Dislikes excessive winter wet.
May be short lived.
Rock gardens, containers.
From the Balearic Islands, Spain. Found in limestone areas.
