description:
Clump-forming prickly evergreen. Tall stiff branching stems of small rounded, steely light blue flowers with spiky blue-green bracts in July and August. Bluish green leaves and stems. Similar to Eryngium planum.

Well drained, poor to moderately fertile soil in full sun. Avoid excessive winter wet. Drought tolerant.
