Very fast growing. Attractive patchwork bark peeling to white. Grey green leaves are bronze coloured when young. White flowers in late summer.

Most Eucalypts will tolerate a fairly wide range of soil types including quite poor ones. E. dalrympleana will tolerate acid or alkaline soils . They are shallow rooting and young trees do not like competition from grass and weeds. It is best to plant when the trees are still very small (45cm) or use specially prepared stock
