Silver-blue juvenile foliage of rounded leaves. The grey blue adult leaves are sickle-shaped. White flowers in summer or autumn. Flaking grey, cream or green bark. Very fast growing and very hardy.

Most Eucalypts will tolerate a fairly wide range of soil types including quite poor ones. Most will grow in acid to moderately alkaline soils (PH 4.5 to 7.5). They are shallow rooting and young trees do not like competition from grass and weeds. It is best to plant when the trees are still very small (45cm) or use specially prepared stock
