Beautiful patterned bark and a shapely crown. Twigs and buds very glaucous. The juvenile leaves are large and blue-green. This is the hardiest of all the eucalypts
Most Eucalypts will tolerate a fairly wide range of soil types including quite poor ones. Most will grow in acid to moderately alkaline soils (PH 4.5 to 7.5). They are shallow rooting and young trees do not like competition from grass and weeds. It is best to plant when the trees are still very small (45cm) or use specially prepared stock
Makes a fine specimen tree.
