Rounded, evergreen sub-shrub. Stout shoots carry oblong to narrowly lance-shaped, dark green leaves. Yellowish-brown, honey scented flowerheads in late spring and summer, followed by pea-like fruits.
Prefers moist soil in light shade but tolerates dry conditions. Needs a warm location.
Self seeds freely.
