description:
Compact, stocky habit. Orange-red flowers with bright yellow petal tips, abundantly produced over a long period in summer.

cultivation:
Well drained, reasonably fertile soil is preferred but will tolerate nutritionally poor soils. Full sun is essential. Very drought tolerant once established and thrives near the sea.
Dead-head regularly to encourage flowering. In cool climate area it is best to cut back growth to about 15cm in late summer to promote basal growth which usually overwinters well.

propagation:
From seed sown in spring, will usually flower in the same year.
Also by division in spring or root cuttings in winter.
