description:
Bulbous perennial with waxy blue-green foliage of narrow strap-shaped leaves. In late summer tall sturdy stems carry numerous pendent bell-shaped white flowers. Slightly fragrant.

cultivation:
Well drained, fertile, preferably light sandy soil in sun. Not very hardy and needs a warm sheltered position. Bulbs should be planted faily deep and mulched in winter, but they dislike excessively wet conditions. In cold areas the bulbs can be lifted and overwintered frost free.

propagation:
From seed or by bulb offsets.

usage:
Impressive looking flowering spike for herbaceous borders, planted singly or in in groups.
