Clump forming rhizomatous perennial with delicate maple shaped leaves.. Myriads of light violet-purple flowers the centres of which are brightened by crimson veins and pale-blue stamens.

cultivation:
Moderately fertile, well drained soil in sun or part shade. Will tolerate dry shade and good in woodland conditions. Cut back after flowering to encourage new growth and sometimes repeat flowering.

usage:
Woodland garden or shady borders.
