Softly hairy, rosette forming, evergreen perennial with toothed dark green leaves. Umbels of pale blue-violet flowers, borne on slender stems above the foliage, from spring to early summer.

cultivation:
Neutral to acid, moist but sharply drained, gritty soil in full or part shade. Dislikes winter wet and excess moisture on the foliage. Benefits from being planted into vertical crevices in stone walls. Ovoid root disturbance once established.
