description:
Very fragrant, quite small, honey coloured flowers in late winter and early spring. New young leaves are purple-bronze tinted in spring, before turning green. Spectacular, yellow, orange and red autumn foliage colour. Medium to large sized shrub, often multi-stemmed and tends to produce suckers.

cultivation:
Best in moist, fertile, acid to neutral soil in sun or part shade. More tolerant of slightly chalky and heavy soils than other Witch Hazel species.
Prune if required, by removing dead or unwanted branches in late winter/early spring.
