description:
Clump-forming perennial making a rounded dome of brick-red flowers, ageing to copper. Yellow and light brown central cones. Medium height growth, late summer and early autumn flowering.
Fairly similar to Karneol.

cultivation:
Best in moist, well drained, fertile soil in full sun. Divide clumps every 2 or 3 years, in spring, to maintain flowering vigour. Deadhead regularly during the flowering season.

propagation:
By division.

usage:
Herbaceous borders. Good as a cut flower.
