description:
Erect perennial with broad, dark green, lanceolate or oblanceolate leaves and wavy wings on the lower part of the stems. Egg-yolk yellow flowers, sometimes with slight red marking on the reverse, with mid-brown central cones, produced in late summer and early autumn.


cultivation:
Best in moist, well drained, fertile soil in full sun. Divide clumps every 2 or 3 years, in spring, to maintain flowering vigour. Deadhead regularly during the flowering season.
