Rounded, lobed, dark reddish purple leaves with a metallic silvery overlay. Delicate sprays of small, pale pink flowers in early summer. Foliage height is about 25cm. More or less evergreen in mild climates.

Moist, well drained, fertile soil in sun or part shade.

By division of large clumps in autumn.

Useful for ground cover at the front of border or in containers. Mostly grown for the foliage.
