Small double pure white flowers with maroon red markings at the base, in late summer. Vigorous large shrub.
Reasonably fertile, humus-rich, moist, well drained soil in full sun. Performs best in areas with long hot summers.
Prune in early spring. On established plants, some old stems can be cut back hard.
Hibiscus syriacus 'Albus Plenus' is either the same variety or very similar.
