Dwarf Hortensia type making a neat compact small shrub. The smallish mophead flowers tend to be pink or dusky mauve-purple on acid soils, they resist turning blue.

Moist, well drained, reasonably fertile, humus-rich soil. Sun or part shade, preferably with shelter from cold, drying winds. May become chlorotic on very shallow chalky soil. Performs well in seaside locations.
The flower colour is influenced by the soil pH.
