Vigorous deciduous shrub with ovate, pointed, toothed, mid to dark green leaves. Large erect conical panicles of creamy white flowers, quickly becoming deep pink as they age, borne from midsummer to early autumn.
Moist, well drained, reasonably fertile, humus-rich soil. Sun or part shade, preferably with shelter from cold, drying winds.
