Lilac blue flowers, slightly paler at the edges and with darker blue beards. Late spring flowering.
Well drained, preferably neutral to slightly acid soil in full sun. Rhizomes should be partially exposed and flowering is best in areas with long warm summers. Divide clumps when congested.
