description:
Anemone-like, tuberous-rooted, carpeting perennial. Basal leaves are usually twice-ternate, being divided into 3-lobed leaflets. Small 5-petalled, white flowers in March and April. The flowers are very similar to the rue anemone, Anemonella thalictroides. Becomes dormant in summer with new leaves often appearing in autumn.
