Large, dense, wide spreading evergreen, with horizontal branches and small scale-like, silvery blue-grey leaves pressed close to the arching shoots. Ovoid greyish blue berries in autumn and usually lasting through winter.

Best in sun for good colouring. Most soils. Very hardy.
