Hardy, undemanding, suckering shrub with a lax habit. long arching shoots with bright green toothed leaves. Single, golden yellow flowers freely produced in late spring.

Any reasonable soil, best flowering in part shade but tolerates some sun or deep shade. Unfussy, tough and easy to grow.

By division of suckers or greenwood cuttings in summer.
