description:
Hardy annual climber. Large showy flowers of rose-pink and white with wavy petals, held on long strong stems. Strongly scented. Tall growing and vigorous.

cultivation:
Fertile, humus-rich, well drained soil in full sun or light dappled shade. Provide suitable support.
Dead-head regularly to prolong flowering.
Can suffer from powdery mildew.

propagation:
From seed sown in early to mid spring or in autumn in mild areas. It helps to soak or chip the seeds first. Germination is normally in 2 weeks.

usage:
Cut flowers, fences and trellis.

Spencer type cultivar. Introduced by Unwins in 1999. Named after Gwen Bishop, wife of the National Sweet Pea Society president.
