description:
Large shrub or conical evergreen tree with aromatic, golden yellow leaves. Clusters of small greenish-yellow flowers in spring, male and female on separate plants, followed, on female plants, by black berries.

cultivation:
Reasonable fertile, well drained soil in full sun or part. Needs shelter from cold winds and a mild location not subject to severe frosts.
May be clipped to shape if required.

propagation:
From semi-ripe cuttings.

usage:
Leaves may be used for cooking.
