description:
Robust bulbous perennial similar and related to the Snowdrops (Galanthus). Erect strap shaped glossy dark green leaves up to 40cm long. Stems of up to 8 bell shaped flowers, white with green tips, in late spring.

Moist, even boggy, humus-rich soil in full sun or part shade.

propagation:
Plant bulbs in autumn, approximately 10cm deep in good soil.

usage:
Spring bulb, can be naturalised in grass, good near water.
