description:
Clump-forming with fans of stiff, narrow, bright greenish yellow leaves with wide central veins of deep orange. The overall appearance of the plant is of rich golden-orange glow, particularly in winter. Evergreen or semi-evergreen. White flowers in midsummer, followed by burnt orange seedpods.

cultivation:
Well-drained, moist, moderately fertile soil in sun or part shade. Reasonably tolerant of drought and poor soils. May need some protection in areas with hard winter frosts.
