description:
Very beautiful, large downward-facing funnel-shaped flowers of greenish yellow with dark purplish maroon-red inside. Erect stems of lance-shaped green leaves.

cultivation:
Well drained, moist, humus-rich, preferably acidic soil in a cool, sheltered, partly shaded position. Will grow in full sun if not too hot and soil remains cool and moist. Frost hardy but will not tolerate wet conditions in autumn and winter.
Has a reputation for being tricky and may be best grown in a cool greenhouse.
