description:
Winter flowering, deciduous or semi-evergreen shrubby honeysuckle. Bristly stems and narrowly elliptic hairy leaves. Small, fragrant, slightly purplish-pink tinged, white flowers, produced in pairs along the stems from late autumn to early spring. Red berries follow in June.

cultivation:
Any well-drained, reasonably fertile soil in sun or partial shade. Best in a sheltered position.
Prune after flowering in late spring.
