description:
Tender perennial with slender erect or sprawling stems of mid-green pinnate leaves made up of 5 small narrow leaflets, the end 3 being separated from the lower 2 by a short stalk. Unusual, small pea-like flowers of dark purple-brown with yellow and brown standard petals, produced over a long period, mostly during summer.
