Good bright yellow flower spikes from late autumn to winter. Evergreen pinnate leaves with sharply toothed leaflets.
Similar to 'Charity' and other related hybrids, but regarded as slightly less hardy though compact in habit and with better flower scent.
Tolerant of a wide range of conditions but best in moist, well drained, moderately fertile, humus-rich soil in full or part shade.
If required, trim or cut back after flowering.
A hybrid of Mahonia japonica x Mahonia lomarifolia. Raised at the Slieve Donard Nursery, Northern Ireland.
