description:
Woody-stemmed, twining climber. Opposite, oval, glossy green leaves. Clusters of trumpet-shaped flowers usually in shades of pink, sometimes red or white, with yellow centres.

cultivation:
Frost tender, best with a minimum temperature of about 10°C, in cool climates grow in a conservatory or warm greenhouse. Moist, well drained soil, keep fairly dry during winter. Full sun or some shade from hot midday sun.

propagation:
From seed, softwood cuttings in spring or semi-ripe cuttings in summer.
