description:
Vigorous spring flowering bulb. Reflexed yellow perianth segments which quickly fade to creamy white small yellow-orange cups. Flowers in March and April.

cultivation:
Best in moderately fertile, well drained soil. Needs reasonable moisture while in growth early in the year. Sun or part shade.
Plant bulbs at one and half times their own size or a little deeper. Allow foliage to die back naturally after flowering.

propagation:
Separate and replant bulb offsets.
