description:
Unusual flowers in mid-spring, the pure white perianth segments being nearly covered by the flattened corona segments which are lemon yellow at first, ageing to white.

cultivation:
Best in moderately fertile, well drained soil, reasonably moist while in growth early in the year but quite dry when dormant in summer. Full sun or part shade.
Plant bulbs at one and half times their own size or a little deeper.
Allow foliage to die back naturally after flowering.

Separate and replant bulb offsets.
