Small spring bulb, 2 or 3 sweetly scented, lemon yellow flowers with cups which quickly fade to cream or nearly white. Mid to late spring.

Best in moderately fertile, slightly alkaline, well drained soil. Needs reasonable moisture while in growth early in the year but dormant bulbs will survive drought and hot summers. Sun or part shade.
Plant bulbs at one and half times their own size or a little deeper. Allow foliage to die back naturally after flowering.

Separate and replant bulb offsets.
