Attractive strong growing, suckering shrub with arching branches. Jagged pointed leaves and lax spikes of pink flowers in late spring.

Fertile, well drained soil in full sun or part shade.
Prune after flowering by cutting back shoots to a strong bud and on established plants, remove about a quarter of the old stems at the base.

Greenwood cuttings in early summer or by removal of suckers in autumn.
