description:
Evergreen suckering shrublet. Whorls of satiny, broad, oval leaves with blunt terminal lobes. New foliage is bright sea green mottled with paler blotches, becoming deep green in summer. Cold frosty weather causes foliage to take on purplish tinting with silvery mottling. White flowers in early spring.

Moist, well drained, humus-rich soil in full or part shade. Very cold hardy.
