Saucer-shaped, single, orange flowers, about 5cm across, in late spring or early summer. Coarsely toothed and lobed lanceolate basal leaves. Spreads by underground runners.

Well drained soil, preferably alkaline and rocky or gritty, in full sun or part shade. Drought tolerant.

From seed or by division or separation of runners. Mature plants may self-seed.

Rock and gravel gardens, coastal planting.
