description:
The Persian Ironwood will eventually become a broad, spreading tree with attractive flaking bark of patchy cream and brown. Small red flower clusters in late winter or early spring. The glossy green leaves turn yellow, orange and red-purple in autumn giving spectacular seasonal colour.

cultivation:
Well drained neutral to slightly acidic soil. Will grow in most reasonable soils with average moisture. May not thrive in very dry conditions although will tolerate some drought once well established.
