cultivation:
Moderately fertile, well drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Apply a mulch before winter. Very wet conditions in winter may cause crown rot.
Dead-head after flowering. Cut back in late winter to tidy plants.

propagation:
From cuttings. Non-flowering tip cuttings taken in late summer or early autumn are best, keep frost free over winter.
