Tender perennial, twining climber normally grown as a half-hardy annual vegetable.
Unusual and attractive salmon-pink flowers, followed by long straight seed pods that have an excellent flavour.

Frost tender. Usually grown as an annual. Moist, fertile soil in full sun. May be grown on a support or allowed to trail.
Pods are best harvested while still young and regular picking will prolong cropping.

From seed (beans) which can be sown from April in trays or pots and kept frost-free for later planting out. Or sow directly once the weather has warmed up.

Culinary vegitable which is also ornamental. Good for pottagers and kitchen gardens.
