Bright yellow leaves in spring, ageing to greenish yellow. Creamy white scented flowers in early summer.
Foliage may scorch in strong direct sunlight.
Any moderately fertile, well drained soil, preferably in part shade as the foliage tends to scorch in strong sunlight.
Prune after flowering by cutting back shoots to a strong bud and on established plants, remove about a quarter of the old stems at the base.
Softwood cuttings in summer or hardwood cuttings in autumn and winter.
