description:
Smaller than P. tenax with weeping leaf tips. Produces tall flower stalks (scapes) bearing greenish-yellow flowers with red-orange shading on the outside and prominent scarlet-red stamens. The dangling twisted seed pods are quite distinct from those of P. tenax.

cultivation:
Moist, well drained, fertile soil in full sun or light shade. Established plants will tolerate dry conditions. Best in mild locations or a sheltered position but grow well in coastal areas.
