description:
Variegated form of the perennial evergreen flax. Medium to vigorous, erect growing. Leaves are greyish olive-green or sometimes bonze with coppery red and pink stripes at the margins. With age the colours fade to green and creamy yellow.
Sometimes produces tall spikes of orangey-red flowers, later maturing to dark pods of small black seeds.

cultivation:
Moist, well drained, fertile soil in full sun or light shade. Established plants will tolerate dry conditions. Best in mild locations or a sheltered position but grow well in coastal areas.
